About the Choir

Musical Director - David Hutchings

David originates from Brighton and now lives in Cardiff. He studied at Cardiff University gaining an MA in Musicology and Batchelor of Music. He currently works as a free lance Musician and is taking further instruction in conducting.

David has only been the choir since the beginning of May this year, but has already shown his excellent qualities as a Musical Director. The choir look forward to a long and happy relationship with him, and the continuation and further enrichment of creating a high standard of music.

Helen Wilson, Accompanist

Helen was born and raised in Cardiff where she still lives with her partner Rob. Helen joined the choir in 2004, her enthusiasm and dedication to the choir is incomparable. Helen has previously been active in volunteering her time to help the committee as treasurer and librarian which again is an indication of her commitment to the choir.

More recently, Helen has become Deputy Musical director. Helen is currently working to the completion of her grading qualifications for Piano

Helen works as a Grants Project manager for the Wales Council of Voluntary action which serves as an umbrella body for the voluntary sector in Wales.
